Portron Portron Lopez on SUSIJAT:"We were coming back from a full day at Matka, walking a lot and enduring the sun, then back in Skopje where the heat was about 40 degrees. We almost didn't have the courage to go to Kanal 103. But once we stepped in the studio, the first thing that came to my mind was: "Holy crap, what's this crazy band ???!!!"The studio was dark, no lights, an endless hypnotizing beat goiing on, a dozen of people around, eyes glued to what was happening in the studio. I sat and listened to their music, carefully, looking at people's faces, closing my eyes, standing up, sitting down. I couldn't believe how good they played. The tempo increased, the music grow bigger, and at some point a voice showed up, like a voice from the past, telling stories, giving a new dimension to the music. I was puzzled. SUSIJAT were playing their music, with no fake attitude, just right. Right away it became obvious that we had to do something with them." (Valentin Portron)
Susijat on Portron Portron Lopez:"Strange in a positive way, fantastic, pretty, pleasant:curious shapes and distorted forms - something unique that simultaneously invokes in an audience a feeling of privileged status as well as sympathetic blush. It's a powerful magnet grabbing everybody’s attention. Incisive chords, surreal blues, beautifull people. SMILES. Notes trying to strike a balance between art-and-precision conceptual melodies away from traditional structures." (Todor Karakolev)
